Took awhile, but I finally finished this neklace... er sorta, i need to replace the safety pin "clasp" with a legit closure... Kinda ghetto, I know, haha. But, I was tired of sewing!! I'll sew it on tomorrow though, I just wanted to be able to wear it out once before I sell it (well, i'm thinking about slling it, but it's so cute!)It's hard to tell in the photo, but the color is navy. I just sewed a bunch of these swirls I had lying around from a bag a friend let me have. Cute statement necklace, huh?

I was on Erin Fetherston's website last night and was so inspired, these pictures are just so beautiful!! In 2005- 2006 Erin did a photography project called "Urban Flowers" as part of her fall/winter collection. Even though 2006 is only a few years ago, in fashion years, that's about a decade, but these looks are still so fresh! The photographs were shot by Ellen Von Unwerth, starring girls like Zooey Deschannel and Karen Elson.

Erin also did a few more projects, one including a short film with little Ms. Zooey called "Dreamy Wander"and yet another short film I have yet to see, called "Wendybird" starring Kristen Dunst.

Ahh, these just leave me feeling so inspired! Check Out Erin Fetherson's site there's a third shortfilm, I can't stop watching called "Dollhouse" just beautiful!

I'm sooo loving Yeasayer right now!

I've been reluctant to even glance at Miss Kate Moss's collection over at Top Shop. Assumed it's just another poor attempt of another super model trying to start their own fashion line... Well, I finally checked it out and, I'm really annoyed at myself for not looking at it sooner... I should have known she would have a great collection! Everything is super cute!! I can't t wait to get to New York in August to check out the store in person and hopefully try on some Kate Moss pieces!

I believe, I earlier mentioned that I've been on the look-out for some man shoes... Well, I think I found what I've been looking for AND more. It's a man's boat shoe! I'm so in love with them and I can't wait until summer so I can wear my shorts with them... for now I'm just going to have to wear my boyfriend shirts with jeans...

AT's Hot or Not

Ok, so I was lurking Apartment Therapy's page and came across their Eames chair Hot or Not. Apparently, Eames came out with some updated classic pieces called the Prince Charles, which is basically his plastic molded chair, with wooden legs, instead of wire or rockers.

I (unlike other AT readers, really like the update...) Although, I'm pretty sure i'm just a fan of chair #1. What do you think? I'm probably alone on this topic...

Gettin' Crafty!!

I love when I wake up and have the need to make something.. anything!! I looked through a box from storage and found a bunch of white shirts that needed some sprucing up! Which lead me to make this shirt...
Sorry, for the poor quality photos. (I used my cell phone since my digital cam is dead) Anyway, this is how I spent my Tuesday morning, and drinking tons of coffee and enjoying the few hours of rare sunshine. Later, my friend Nina talked me into actually leaving the apt to enjoy the sunshine from OUTSIDE... What, leave my warm cozy bed?! In the end I was grateful because I found this great vintage sweater.

Oh, and stay tuned, because, even though Alexander Mcqueen comes out TODAY, I'm planning a trip to see it on friday with Nina, whoooo! I can't wait!!!

It's almost Spring and I'm just now getting back into blogging. I have no commitment, I'm terribly sorry! For here on out though, I promise to update more often. Promise promise promise!! (at least more often then once every 3 months.) Haha. Anyway, to start things out. I've been on a search for some really cute man shoes. I've found a few good looking ones but they always end up being to wide for my feet! Or way to man-ish.... I've also, been on a search for a great trench... Philip Lim, of course has one that I'm in love with, but I want an investment trench and I'm worried that a cropped ruffly look will be out of trend soon....
So, instead I've been eying a trench we have at work. It's VERY similar to Philip's, minus the ruffle and it's longer... I've even paired a few outfits together with the J. Crew version, so I know it's practical! Man oh man do I want it!!

Going through my "all things cute" folder and found this. A house shaped bedroom-nook, lined with book shelves on the outside. I'm always coming back to it when I feel nostalgic. I wish I had this growing up! I just love the idea! I only hope one day I will have a big enough apt to build it! It almost makes me want to have children (haha) so I don't look silly having one in my living room... Maybe I can make a smaller version for billy!

Anyway, I found this on ApartmentTherapy.com awhile back and saved it as a project I dream of doing. However, my version would be an outside version as I would feel cramped keeping this in the house... I'm not that brave!

Tonight was another freezing, raining night, and after loading half my room into the storage unit, I needed something to warm me up. So, I made Jiffy's corn muffins, so yummy! They remind me of when I first learned to bake with my grandma. This and a bowl of chili... Totally hit the spot!!

As for moving... half way done! Saturday is my last day and I just started packing... my last day off before I have to leave no less. I do this every time I move... But I always get through it ok! I just hope everything works out this time around!!

Christmas already?!

Christmas has been stressful the past few years, I've just been so last minute with everything. This year is a different story! I'm starting early so I can enjoy Christmas when it comes. No more stress! (I hope) The other day it hit me, if i'm going to do this early, I better start now. So I made a list (on my cute new post-its) and head to JoAnn fabrics.

For one gift I'm buying an apron off of Etsy and making recipe cards to go with. I just bought scrap booking paper, stickers, and blank index cards, really simple
.

I have a few more presents I'm working on. I'm waiting on my fabric I just bought on Etsy... Also, i'm in the middle of making my cousins some stuffies. I bought this cute little book where it gives you the tutorials on how exactly to make them. So i'm making a bunny and a panda for the girls. I'll have to post the outcome later, I barely have one done yet.

So if you don't hear from me in a while, you'll know what i'm up to! Alright, gotta get back and finish them up, I have a bunch more gifts to make, but i'll definately try to update in the meantime!

Ok, you know it's bad when you can't stop dreaming about a shoe. All day, at work, I thought about this beautiful Dolce Vita mary jane pump. I tried it on a few months ago and haven't had the money to go back and adopt these pretties. I always dream about how cute i'd look walking down the rainy Seattle streets in my fancy attire feeling oh so happy. One day I will get my dream shoes!
Until then, i'll pass the time at work dreaming!

These hats are adorable!! Very "Great Gatsby!" They're just so easy to dress up or dress down. I can't get enough of them! Literally my only problem...Figuring out which color and style to get.
I'm thinking of a black or charcoal hat with a dark poppy wool coat we have at J Crew, for myself!

Fall is my favorite season. Everything is so beautiful and vibrant. Dressing for fall is even better, especially with these items in your wardrobe. (although i'm not sure how warm you will be..) : ) Here are a few items I found and loved. Check out the adorable Acron necklace! How cute is that?!
